I’ve known I had PCOS for over a decade. What I didn’t know until just last year was the connection with Binge Eating Disorder. There is a blog talk radio show coming up that explores this important topic and you won’t want to miss it. Monday, January 24 • 12:30pm – 3:30pm Location www.blogtalkradio.com/incystforhormones Created By inCYST Programs for Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome This broadcast will occur at 12:30 pm Eastern time. If you cannot tune in to the live edition, it will be available for download at the same URL later the same day. You’ve been told to eat more protein, eat less carbohydrates, watch your glycemic index, and reduce your calories. But how many of the people who are helping you with your PCOS are addressing what is really getting in the way of your success–the binge eating? Binge …eating disorder has real explanations, ranging from biochemical to emotional. And there is real help. This episode we’ll talk to Jennie Wade, RD, and Ellen Shuman, life coach, of A Weigh Out, an online and telephone coaching program designed to help with the largely unhelped problem of binge eating disorder. In addition to her work with A Weigh Out, Jennie Wade co-founded the Body Truth Center for Wellness in Cincinnati, Ohio. Information can be found at www.bodytruthcenter.com. Ellen Shuman is an emotional eating and binge eating disorder recovery Coach, founder of A Weigh Out Life Coaching; “An end to emotional eating and desperate dieting”, and the A Weigh Out Members’ Circle, an online community for people recovering from these challenges, www.aweighout.com. She is also the founder of Acoria Eating Disorder Treatment, Vice President of BEDA; The Binge Eating Disorder Association, and Co-Chair of the Academy for Eating Disorders “Health at Every Size” Special Interest Group.
