Modern technology has brought convenience to modern man. But modern technology can come with a high price. Convenience brings along with it high levels of electromagnetic radiation, which can possibly pose a danger to achieving optimum fertility and the developing embryo when one is pregnant. These devices can surely make your life easier but the electromagnetic radiation they emit can harm your body’s delicate cells. When one lives in a highly urbanized area, it can be next to impossible to completely avoid radiation. Some of the most common sources of electromagnetic radiation are mobile phones which produce radio frequency radiation. Radio frequency radiation can heat human tissue in like manner as a microwave heating your food. The thermal effects in the body can cause tissues to die. There are also studies which have shown that radiation from mobile phones can cause damage to the cellular DNA, thereby affecting the chromosomes, gene activity, and increasing the rate of cell division and replication. Any interference during cell division and replication can result in birth defects and other congenital anomalies. Wireless technology such as wireless internet, computer networks and hot-spots as well as wireless mice, keyboards and speakers, also operate by using radio frequency non-ionising radiation similar to that used by mobile and cordless phones also are sources of radiation that can cause cellular damage and may even possibly cause cancer.
