Unfortunately, cancer treatment can absolutely affect his fertility. There is no way to tell for sure unless he has a sperm analysis done, which he should and is relatively inexpensive. But, for general information, Fertile Hope is a wonderful organization (and now a part ofthe Lance Armstrong Foundation) that focuses exclusively on cancer and fertility. One of their resources is a risk calculator. You can look up the cancer type and it provides information on your risk of azoospermia (absence of sperm) based on the treatments received for your cancer. The results are based on a low, medium or high probabilities of fertility problems. Good luck!
