Couples hoping to hear the words “mom or dad” will now have a chance by applying online for The Embracing Hope Grant by Fertile Dreams. This Grant program awards up to $10,000 toward an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) cycle at any accredited reproductive endocrinology program in the United States to selected couples with the medical need but no fertility insurance or financial ability to afford fertility treatment. New this year, Fertile Dreams is also offering a Grant for domestic adoption services. Both applications can be accessed online only at www.FertileDreams.org. “Millions of men and women in the United States desperately wish to celebrate a Mother’s Day or Father’s Day,” said Lori Cox, executive director of Fertile Dreams. “The Embracing Hope Grant was created to grant wishes of parenthood for those without the financial resources to afford the costly fertility treatment or adoption.” These Embracing Hope Grants are awarded to couples who have medical need, but not the fertility insurance or financial resources to afford the in-vitro fertilization treatment or adoption services they require to achieve parenthood. “Without The Embracing Hope Grant, we would not be celebrating our daughter’s third birthday in May,” said Amanda Williams, 2008 Grant recipient. “My husband Jason took a chance and shared his story hoping to help others and ended up making our dreams come true.”
