I recently gave birth to a 22 week old baby girl she did not make it when can I conceive another child

Knowing when to conceive

Knowing when to conceive again after such a tragic loss isn't easy. First of all, let me say how very sorry I am for your loss. What a devastating experience that must have been for you.

As to when you can get pregnant again, it depends both on your physical and emotional needs. I hope you have additional emotional support to get you through this time and help you talk about mourning your child and preparing for another pregnancy.

Physically, if you delivered by c-section, you may need to wait 4-6 months. If you delivered vaginally, 2-3 months may be fine. But again, it depends on you. Don't move forward, though without talking to your physician. He or she may have specific recommendations based on your health that you must consider.

Best wishes.
