At 47, the quality of your

At 47, the quality of your eggs is probably the biggest concern. While in younger women, a reversal may be the less expensive option, IVF may be a better bet because of your ability to to PGD before transfer. PGD is a way of looking at the embryos to see if there are any chromosomal glitches.

Also, if your egg quality isn't ideal, donor egg may also be an option to consider.

But if you're considering family building, I would go ahead and make an appointment with a fertility specialist as soon as you can for a full fertility workup.
