You are not alone. Approximately six percent of women who originally got a tubal ligation will, within five years, decide that she does indeed want to experience pregnancy and a new baby. Many of them are like you and have a new partner.
Most women who have a tubal are candidates for IVF, though you would need to see a fertility specialist to determine if that is right for you.
Not everyone can have their tubals reversed. You are more likely if the tubal ligation included either the removal of a small section of the fallopian tubes, or those whose tubal ligation was achieved by clips or rings placed around the tubes to prevent eggs released during ovulation from traveling through the fallopian tubes.
Overall, success rates for tubal ligation reversal range from 20-75%.
