why cant i get pregnant me an my husband have been trying for 5yrs and we really want a baby

To be painfully honest - I

To be painfully honest - I don't know. But that doesn't mean you can't begin to do research to find out. Start with the basics - have you both had a physical, tests for STD's, and given up drugs, alcohol and smoking? How are both of your BMI's?

Next, are you ovulating? Just because you are having periods doesn't mean you ovulate. Chart your temperature, pee on a stick, but there are several ways to setermine if you are ovulating regularly.

The best thing to do is to go in to your doctor and talk. For tests, if your health insurance is weak, start with your local Health department or Planned Parenthood.

Good luck!
