My husband and I have been trying the old fashioned way for a while now, and aren't getting anywhere. I had surgery May 2010 for removal of 2 ovarian cysts (benign) and my left ovary. I am wondering where we need to start to look into infertility.

The good news is that you

The good news is that you absolutely can get pregnant after losing an ovary - I did! It is possible. The issue here is why you haf the cysts. Not everyone who has ovarian cysts has polycystic ovary syndrome, but many people with PCOS do have cysts on their ovaries.

I would start with going back to the doctor who removed the ovary and asking for a hormone screen and evaluation for PCOS. Many women with PCOS are successful after going on Metformin with Clomid. The other good news is that women with PCOS are often more likley to get pregnant in their 30s than they weer in their 20s.

Do some research on PCOS and see what you think. Good luck!
