My husband may be sterile due to his undescended testicles. He had surgery at 7 to correct them, but I am not pregnant. Our urologist advised us to consider adoption or donor sperm. Is there any hormones or medication he can take to create sperm?

Men who have had an undescended testicle have lower sperm counts, poorer quality sperm and lower fertility rates than men whose testicles descended normally. It happens to about 3% of boys in the general population and about 30% of premature babies.
Unfortunately, research now shows that the best way to prevent future fertility issues to have corrective surgical repair done between 6 months and 2 years of age.
If your urologist is recommending donot sperm or adoption, you may want to get a second opinion. That way, you can be confident that even if it is an unwanted answer, you will have looked at it from several perspectives.
Unfortunately, there is no known way to create sperm.
