Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Fertility Problems

Despite her extremely glamorous life, it turns out Kim Kardashian shares the same fear that many other women do: fertility issues surrounding her second pregnancy.

Kardashian recently announced on the latest episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” that she’s pregnant with her second child. The 34-year-old has struggled with fertility issues and she’s now willing to share them.

“It’s really rare. I didn’t know that I was going to be so open with [my fertility challenges],” Kardashian said. “But meeting people at my fertility doctor’s office who are going through the same things I’m going through, I thought, why not share my story?”

Kardashian noted that the experience has been an emotional roller coaster. One doctor told her that her uterus had to removed after having a second child and that she could only have one more baby. Another told her she should get a surrogate, and a third told her she’d be perfectly fine.

“There are definitely times when I walked out [of the doctor’s office] hysterically crying, and other times when I was like, ‘OK, everything’s looking - it’s going to be this month!’” Kardashian said. “The waiting and waiting has been a roller coaster.”

The E! Show followed Kardashian to fertility clinics on occasion. Even the tabloids have chronicled Kardashian’s fertility problems.

An interview with Glamour Magazine has since been released in which Kardashian discusses her fertility problems. In the interview, Kardashian shared her excitement over the pregnancy and noted that she wanted to tell her story to raise awareness for other couples who have the same problem.

Kardashian and her husband Kanye West currently have one child: North West. According to reports, the couple’s second child is expected due by Christmas.
