Signs of Pregnancy

Sore breasts. Cramping. Fatigue. Are these signs of pregnancy or not? It depends. It could be an impending period or something else. While every woman is different, many women have similar signs of pregnancy in the first trimester.

Nausea, bloating, sore breasts, frequent urination, and nipple darkening are all common signs of pregnancy. The most telling symptom is a period that has gone AWOL. If your period is late, even if you used birth control, you might be pregnant. In about 25% of pregnancies, there is light spotting, which may be confused for a menstrual cycle.

The signs of pregnancy may be clues to your condition, but they aren’t fool-proof. The best way to tell if your symptoms are signs of pregnancy is to purchase a pregnancy test. If the test results are positive, then a visit to the doctor is in order to confirm with blood tests.
