Pregnancy Problems

All women worry about the potential for pregnancy problems. Unfortunately, many women are far too willing to share their own dramatic pregnancy and childbirth stories – all designed to make you wonder why you ever decided to procreate in the first place.

Not every pregnancy ends with a healthy newborn, but most do. No one can prevent all pregnancy problems, but you can take numerous steps to increase the likelihood of bringing home a healthy bundle of joy.

Pregnancy problems can create health issues for mom or for baby. Hopefully, you will have a chance to adapt a healthy lifestyle before you became pregnant. While getting your life and body ready for pregnancy before you become pregnant is ideal, it is not too late to do what you can to avoid pregnancy problems. The single most important determining factor in having a positive pregnancy outcome is access to good prenatal care.
