Genetics and Infertility

Does anyone know or have experience with how much genetics comes into play with getting pregnant. The reason I ask is that my husband and I have decided to have children after being married now for 2 years. My older sister struggled in this area for over 3 years and I wonder if that will be an issue for me or maybe not. Just asking. Thanks. :D

Genetics and Infertility

It really depends what the particular cause is of the infertility. Different causes of infertility have possible genetic causes.

The Genetic of Infertility

For sure genetics play a factor. There are certain conditions we inherit from our parents and grandparent. On the other hand many ovulation issues occur independent of genetics.

Depends on the cause of the infertility

Things that can cause infertility like PCOS and insulin resistance can run in families, but other things like exposure to STDs, age, or some medications or chemicals can affect one person's fertility even if their siblings and other relatives are perfectly fertile.

Well, for me, DH and I have

Well, for me, DH and I have been TTC for 11 years. My younger sister decided to TTC after being married only 1 year because she assumed she'd have the same trouble as me. However, it only took her 2 months to get PG. I think it's different for everyone. I hope this helps.
