I've heard from many people and places that if I lose weight then I could probably get pregnant much easier. My problem is that I don't ovulate, therefore, I don't have periods. My husband and I tried clomid for 2 months. I ovulated the second month on 50mg, but we had to go out of town for a few months on a family emergency, so we weren't able to continue with treatments at that time. Since then, we've looked at expenses and side effects and are hoping to find a simpler way to success. Has anyone had any luck with this before?

Sorry you are going through this. I am sure an active lifestyle and good eating habits will help getting pregnant. But I don't really think that alone will help if you do not ovulate at all. I cross-train one hour a day and eat healthy foods and keep away from junk, soda, coffee and restaurants. But inspite of that I still don't ovulate. You do need clomid (or other medications) to help you ovulate. Hope clomid works for you soon. If you live in the US and have a costco in your city, try getting clomid from there, it is a bit more cheaper. Good luck.

Ovulation and menstruation require the open, extensive communication between the brain, the pituitary gland, the ovaries, and the uterus. Overall changes to your nutrition and lifestyle can definitely support ovulation. I would highly recommend looking into the Fertile Soul website. Dr. Lewis, author of the Infertility Cure, has had lots of success helping women restore ovulation and fertility by rebalancing their bodies naturally.

Unfortunately clomid never worked for us. It made me ovulate but no success. I did lose about 10 pounds and 30 inches and I am now pg so I do believe it attributes to my being pregnant.

I have been smaller than I am now...and I have also been larger. I got pregnant after taking Vitex and Metformin. Clomid did NOTHING for me and I hyperstimulated on injectible medications. I did IVF and FET and too many IUIs to count and they did not result in my baby. But the Vitex and the Metformin worked...
