Hello Everyone,
My hubby and I have been TTC since Jan of last year (2006). I just began treatment with Clomid. I am really hoping this will take us down the right path. It has been a difficult year as two of our close friends both just had children. Don't get me wrong I am very happy for them but it does get difficult sometimes not knowing if it will happen for you.
Anyone out there had good success with Clomid? Thanks. |

I used Clomid and it did make me ovulate. I wasn't able to get pregnant...but that was due to my ex-husband But every month I got my blood tested...which was horrible as I sooo hate needles!! But the blood tests always showed that I had ovulated. So yes..Clomid DOES do what it says it does!! Good luck!! |

I hope clomid works for you. I have seen some people it works great for, and others (like me) that it did nothing for.
The biggest thing I can suggest, is to make sure your dr keeps an eye on you. An u/s around CD12 can be very good to see if you are responding to the meds and how well you may be responding. |

| Good luck with your first clomid cycle. Clomid works differently for different people. I went through 8 rounds of increasing dosage..starting at 50 till 200. We also added IUI to a couple rounds. One of the natural cycles did work, but i had a m/c in 6 weeks. Eventually I stopped responding to clomid and since it wasn't safe to be on that drug for long, we stopped taking clomid and moved on to injectibles. |

| It has worked for a lot of people. Not so much for me. I agree with Lisa, that you are monitored. Looking back, I'm not even sure that I ever did ovulate on clomid even though they were allegedly "monitoring" me. It does have some side effects that decrease fertility which makes it kind of hard. The main one that affected me was lack of fertile CM. It's hard to BD while dry and also hard to get the sperm up there. But lots of women have gotten pg off of it. Usually within the first 3 months if they are going to have success. Hope it works for you!!!! |

| Good luck with clomid. Make sure you are being monitored. When I was on clomid I got two large cysts and it wouldn't have been detected if I wasn't being monitored. |
