Hey Everyone,
I am new here. My hubby and I have been TTC for 3 years. I did so much reading all over the place to see what was wrong as my gyn kept saying I was normal. Went to finally get a second opinion and it turned out to be PCOS. Want to see if anyone here has dealt with this as I am fairly new. Have people tried Met? Has it worked well. Going back to the doctor next week.
thanks. |

| Here's my story. After trying with no success for about 18 months we went to a RE and tried clomid and metformin. I was diagnosed with PCOS and dh low morphology. Still no luck so we tried IVF. We did one fresh and one frozen cycle. Both were unsuccessful. We moved onto adoption and 3 days after bringing home our son we found out we were pregnant. The reason I am pregnant is from taking a natural herb called chasteberry vitex. It was only to regulate my cycles but I am pregnant because of it. I took it 4 1/2 months and I'm 8 weeks pg. You can get it at any health store or at puritans pride online. |

Dear Rachel,
There is alot you can do to treat PCOS naturally through acupuncture, herbs, diet and exercise. Cutting out refined sugars and carbohydrates is a great place to start. I think you would benefit from reading the following article on how to treat PCOS naturally, written by Dr. Randine Lewis can be found on the Fertile Soul website. |

| I took Metformin and Vitex...I have PCOS and after 7 years...and unsuccessful IVF, FET and too many IUIs to count...I finally have a son. It was the metformin and the vitex that did the trick |

Hi All! New to this site, but I'm glad I found it! Lots of good information and people who understand! I was diagnosed a few years ago with mild PCOS as I don't have all the symptoms, but my hormone levels are outta whack. I got married in May, stopped the pill in June and started Metformin 1000mg/day in August....had 3 periods since then and ovulated once that I can confirm. Went today and was just given my first script for Clomid. Hoping that everything inside will take the hint and get us pregnant! I have a positive feeling after reading some things on this board! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us here!

| Hi, I too have PCOS and my doctor prescribed Femara. I'm starting my 3rd cycle with it. Hopefully, I'll have a positive result on my ovulation sticks this month. It is reassuring to see that PCOS can be helped with meds though... |

| I'm a newbie here too. I posted on a few things at the end of January. So far this site seems full of information and people going through the same stuff - nice to not be alone in this. What exactly is PCOS? It seems you all know the lingo and all the abbreviations for everything. I'm a little behind. |
