While there are many treatments that are used for infertility, these treatments also carry many risks with them.

For people that may only want one child, you may need to be aware of the fact that while using infertility drugs, the chances of multiple pregnancies are very high. Twins are most common with the use of infertility drugs, but it can increase to triplets, and even quadruplets.

While for some this may be exciting news, it is also very risky to have such a profound set of multiples. The more you have, the higher the risk of the pregnancy and possibility for miscarriage.

The other high risk of using infertility drugs is the chance of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome developing. This basically effects the ovaries. The ovaries become very swollen with liquid and this liquid soon leaks out. Once out and in the body, it can cause and immense amount of damage.
