Why Egg Donation?

The percentage of infertility cases is increasing day after the other for many reasons that could include marrying at a late age. But there is a solution for this kind of infertility, and this solution is: Egg donation.

A couple, who have tried so hard to conceive but could not and are desperate to have a baby, can simply post an advertisement in their local newspaper asking for an egg donor. They will find a good number of people calling them the next day.

Statistics show that the percentage of egg donors increased around 40% only in the past month. Come to think of it, you might find it a bit logical since we are in the middle of an economical crisis and many women would readily donate their eggs because it brings good cash. And my question here is: is it Ok for women to sell their eggs only for cash? Or it is only acceptable when it is coming from a person who is donating out of sheer altruism? Keeping in mind that many countries prohibit the act of egg selling.

In any case, those 2 categories do exist. You’ll find women who are ready to donate their eggs for those couples who desperately need it out of passion and love, as you’ll also find women who are doing it for the money.
