Middle Age Wedding Herb As New Contraceptive!

In an odd turn of fate the herb Cumin, (Cuminum cyminum), probably known best to you as part of your blueribbon winning chili powder, which was carried by brides in the middle ages forgood luck, has been found to be a reversible contraceptive (for male rats). Itwas discovered by zoological professors at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur,India, to perhaps be an ideal component of a male contraceptive pill asreported in the July 2011 issue of Contraception. While rats fed the cuminextract remained quite healthy in most all ways, however their sperm count andsperm movement was markedly reduced. And while the liver and the kidneys didwell, the circulating hormone levels did decrease, and of course that will be aquestion to see if this chemical can make the leap to be clinically meaningful!
