Things you are doing that can cause infertility

Most of the time, you do not have to resort to aggressive treatments to cure your infertility. There are times when you are simply doing something that you ought not to do, and this makes you infertile. In other words, if you quit doing that thing you do, there is a higher chance for you to have a baby.

Don’t get what I’m saying? Well, here’s a great example–smoking. Smoking can actually lower the sperm count of a man, and it could also affect a woman’s ability to conceive. Another classic example is drinking alcohol. Alcohol can create hormonal imbalances in both men and women.

These two might be no-brainers, since they are generally bad for our health anyway. Infertility is just one of the bad effects that they have. But what if you are taking in things that are supposedly good for your health, but are actually adversely affecting your fertility?

I’m talking about medications here. It’s very helpful to know which medications can cause infertility, since even over-the-counter pain relievers can affect your fertility. But before you stop taking these meds, make sure you consult your doctor first and ask for alternative treatments. You may be fertile after stopping your St. John’s Wort, but what good does it make if you have a sudden flare-up of depression?
