The most annoying infertility story of the week

The verdict is in – the most annoying infertility story of the week was Guiliana and Bill Rancic’s segment on the view. The reason? Her hesitation to gain 5 or 10 pounds, which her doctor says may help her and her husband, conceive after nine months of not being able to.
If you haven’t seen her, she’s Hollywood skinny, which means she damn near skeletal. In an explanation that rankled viewers, she told The View co-hosts she prefers being thin. After all, she said, she needs to be thin for her job in the entertainment industry.
I hate to be the one to break it to her, but women do gain weight when they are pregnant. And more than 5-10 pounds.
If you catch up on Twitter, or read any mommy blogs, there were some honked off mamas, and especially the mamas to be. Those who would very much like to be pregnant but can’t reacted understandably strongly. Can you imagine if you endometriosis (March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, by the way and we’ll have more on that later), or you know you need IVF but cannot begin to afford it, and you have to listen to a rich….um…actress complain about it’s just soo haard (insert whiny voice here) to gain weight and stay famous at the same time.
Put your big girl panties on, Guiliana.
