Smoking lowers female fertility?

It’s known to all of us that smoking produces several hundred substances that are toxic to the human body. These toxic elements make it less likely to conceive for a woman who smokes. Smoking exerts some adverse effects on the eggs in a way that maturation gets disrupted, and fertilization and ovulation rates are halted. When this low rate of ovulation or even no ovulation happens to a woman, the woman is less likely to become pregnant. Smoking and infertility are linked not only in quality of the eggs in the ovaries, but also in quantity. Less eggs also greatly reduces the possibility of a woman to get pregnant. Smoking also has an impact on the follicles required to stimulate IVF(in vitro fertilization). So if a woman having the habit of smoking thinks to undergo IVF treatment to be pregnant, she is required to drop the habit. Because during IVF or any infertility treatment, the lower number of eggs and the lesser quality of eggs or lack of healthy eggs caused by smoking reduces the possibility for women to be pregnant. IVF treatments are 2.7 times more likely to be fruitful with a healthy, non-smoker woman than with a smoker woman.
