Build Your Foundation

Imagine if you went to build your dream house but you didn't take the time to build a solid foundation. Instead you went right to building the walls and anchoring them in quicksand.

How stable would your dream house be? At the first rumble of earth, your walls would come crumbling down.

This is the same as building your a healthy body. That foundation imagery isn't mine, but it is from a friend of mine, health coach Renee McLaughlin (www.healthcoachforsuccess.com).She is doing a lot of work related to nutrition and women with PCOS, and helping women become as healthy as possible. After all we know that keeping your BMI in normal ranges – 19 to 24 - provides you with an ideal fertility weight.

Easier said than done, right? The stress of fertility, hormonal difficulties, and even a lack of understanding of balanced nutrition can keep us offtrack in regards to our weight.

For the next few weeks, I will be talking with Renee about nutrition and exercise and some basic information on eating specifically related to PCOS and I'll be sharing that information with you.

As Renee explains, "If you don't take the time to build your foundation, you will be cruising along on your diet and as soon as something in your life throws you a slight curve ball...you'll slide off your program and go tumbling down.
