Add Some Summer Fresh Fruits and Veggies for Antioxidants

New infertility research is interesting to physicians, but often isn't of any real value to actual patints in the middle of the battle. Finally, a new analysis, published online in the journal Pharmacological Research, suggested that antioxidants can have a significant impact on fertility.

The good news is that nutritional therapies may have significant impact. Adding antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, could help. Antioxidant can protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, molecules which are produced when your body breaks down food, or they can be created by environmental dangers like radiation and tobacco smoke.

Lookin for some sources of antioxidants? Some top fruit sources are blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and cranberries. For veggies, try some sweet potatoes and russet potatoes — with the skin on. Like nuts? Try walnuts, pistachios, pecans, hazelnuts and almonds or beans and legumes, such as kidney beans, edamame and lentils.

Top off your meal with an antioxidant-rich fruit juice like pomegranate juice, and a snack size dark chocolate bite for another antioxidant boost.
