There have been many myths surrounding infertility. These myths have been around for so long that many people choose to believe it which is often wrong and misleading.

Infertility is the inability to conceive. It is not limited to women alone. It occurs equally between men and women.

Infertility is a disease. It is not just a psychological ailment but mainly a major disease of the reproductive system of the male or female.

Infertility crosses the boundaries between healthy and unhealthy persons. You may be living a healthy lifestyle but you may still be infertile. Unhealthy lifestyle choices include smoking, drinking, engaging in multiple sex partners and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and poor diet can also lead to infertility.

Infertility is not only present in older couples. In fact, there are many newly married couples who are trying equally hard to get pregnant. Although it has been proven that as women increase in age there is also a decrease in the percentage of women getting pregnant.
