Teens with dominant personality have high fertility rate in adult life

A recent study has suggested that men and women who have dominant traits during their teenage years have high fertility rate during their adult life.

The study published in the respected magazine Journal of Personality, which publishes scientific investigations in the field of personality state that teenagers regardless of gender who have strong personality have higher chances of having their own children during adult life.

Markus Jokela and Lisa Keltikangas-Jarvinen, two of the researchers who conducted the study said status striving may be important for reproductive success even in modern humans when the relevant traits are measured at the right level - not as educational diplomas or high-status occupations, but as having a dominant personality.

"Our study should lead evolutionary-oriented researchers to reconsider some earlier assumptions regarding the role of evolutionary psychology in explaining modern fertility behavior,” the researchers said.

Well, this finding is good news to teenagers who have dominant personality since the chance to have their own children is almost 100 percent assured. This study also showed the world that having a strong personality has its rewards to anyone including the chance to have your children in the future.

Those who have dominant personality trait it is time to celebrate since your fertility rate is high in adult life.
