Regular Sex Increases Pregnancy Odds

Nigerian professor Arowojolu recently announced - in not altogether stunning news, declared, ?that the more often a couple has sex, th emore likley a couple is to get pregnant.

Ideally, he says, sex at least three to four times a week provides better odds than the chances of getting pregnant with intercourse once a week or only on weekends.?

Also speaking about infertility specifically to Nigerians, Professor Arowojolu attributed the cause of infertility to men in one out of every three cases, suggesting that sexually transmitted ?infections such as gonorrhea and Chlamydia are significant causes of infertility in men in Nigeria, as many men practice unprotected sex.? With chlamydia in particular, it does not show itself until it has done significant damage in the body, usually blocking the fallopian tubes in women.?

Another significant factor in Nigeria is the high level of pollutants such as lead, selenium and cadmium in the environment. Lead is one of the causal factors for infertility in men, as it affects fertility by destroying the sperm, testes and the prostate. It also affects the kidneys.
