Common Fertility Drugs

Infertility, in most cases, is a result of a certain known disorder in the human body; therefore, there is a treatment for each disorder. Fertility drugs are still the most common treatment for infertility, and it usually succeed at a great percentage, and as long as medicine is in progress, the percentage of success will increase.

One of the most famous drugs that people use in their infertility treatment is Clomiphene (or its brand name Clomid). Clomid is a drug that has been used for over 25 years now. It assists women with making their ovulation normal; it can either trigger or regulate it. Almost 80% of women who use Clomiphene for regulating their ovulation end up conceiving once or more. However, this treatment does have a few side effects, but they are, after all, considered mild, these are: nausea, blurred vision, headaches…etc.

The other 20% of women who fail conceiving after using this drug as their treatment are usually recommended to try the hormone injections, and that is to stimulate ovulation.
