Curing infertility with Clomid

Clomid is regarded by medical practitioners as an effective medication for curing infertility. Clomid contains Clomiphene Citrate and is effective in aiding regular ovulation in women. Statistics reveal that 60% to 80% of women ovulate after a course of clomid and 50 % women get pregnant after being treated with clomid. Clomid is the first treatment option considered by doctors for curing infertility.. Ovulation regularity is achieved within the first three months of clomid intake. Doctors recommend that patients take 50 mg of clomid per day for five days on the 3rd, 4th or 5th day after the period. The dosage can be increased in certain cases for up to 150 mg. After ovulation begins, the drug should be taken for no longer than six months. Clomid causes the side effects of hot flashes and multiple births though it is the mildest among infertility treatments with very few side effects.
