Treat infertility with acupressure

Before seeking medical intervention or treatment for infertility, try some of the many alternative therapies including acupressure. Sometimes a combination of therapies is the best way to go and usually much less expensive and invasive. Many alternative treatments come from eastern medicine practiced by traditional Chinese healers. One of the first you might want to try is acupressure. It’s painless and easy to do yourself, although there are professionals who are eager to help you.

For men

Acupressure can be used for both men and women. Acupressure can stimulate conception by using finger or pam pressure just below the navel area or the chest area to regulate life energy or “chi”. For men, it will balance and enhance the kidney meridian and reproductive areas. You can easily stimulate this area by covering the region between pelvic bones with your palm, the other hand on top of that one, press and rub about 100 times in a clockwise motion.

For women

For women, this same circular movement will stimulate the liver meridian when used on the breastbone on the chest. Used between the hip bones will regulate menses and stimulate the life meridian. Again, about a 100 circles with medium pressure. Women can also gently squeeze the upper ridge of the ear between finger and thumb for several seconds. Lightly massage after this. This is called the fossa area and it stimulates the uterus and fallopian tubes. Then move down the ear to the crevice above the ear lobe. Massage lightly with your fingernail in an upward motion. On the face, use your thumb to massage between your eyebrows with a circular motion and light pressure. This point is good for circulation and other vital functions that support a healthy body in preparation for conception. Even something as simple as a hairline massage with light pressure can stimulate reproductive and pelvic function.
