Grants for Fertility Treatment – Part II

Infertility is a challenge. Financing the treatment shouldn't be as well. There are organizations prepared to help you achieve your dream of making a family. Below is a list of nonprofit organizations that provide financial assistance to select infertility patients. Contact each one to find out their selection criteria and more information.

• InterNational Council for Infertility Information Dissemination (INCIID)

o Technically, this is not a grant. Certain infertility clinics have agreed to provide basic IVF coverage for no charge.
o Recipients have to use the specific clinic, which may require travel.
o Applicant must not have insurance that covers fertility treatment
o Costs associated with egg or sperm donation or surrogacy are not covered.
o Preference given to childless couples.

• The Madeleine Gordon Gift of Life Foundation

o Married couples with no children together
o Must live within 15 miles of the I 275 loop around Cincinnati
o Must not have had a previous IVF attempt
o Combined family income of less that $70,000

• New York State Infertility Demonstration Program

o Must live in New York
o Subsidizes IVF

• Pay-It-Forward Foundation

o Open to couples in states that do not mandate for infertility insurance coverage
o Meant to help couples who have a history of failed fertility procedures
o Gives grants for couple who are pursuing IVF, donor egg IVF, and embryo adoption; military personnel who want to preserve fertility before deployment, and cancer patients who want to preserve fertility before treatment.

• Sparkles of Life

o Gives need-based grant to five couples every year to help with IVF
o Based in Texas; pays 1/3 of cost of treatment at their Houston Fertility Institute
